Zidane apologizes for head butt
I don't follow soccer. This guy head butts another player because he insulted his mother and sister. Trash talking goes on in every sport. It was the finals for pete's sake. He couldn't have held it in, led the French to victory and then rubbed it in Materazzi face. I'm sure the insult was not personal. dumbass.

Does anyone else find it weird that Angelides and Westly, the democratic candidates to unseat Arnold, have attack ads about attack ads? Forget about education, taxes and Sacramento being the worse place for our capital to be, the most important issue of this 2006 election is who attacked who first.

Study: College students lack literacy for complex tasks

-- More than half of students at four-year colleges -- and at least 75 percent at two-year colleges -- lack the literacy to handle complex, real-life tasks such as understanding credit card offers, a study found.

A man is flying in a hot air balloon and realizes he is lost. He reduces altitude and spots a man down below. He lowers the balloon further and
shouts: "Excuse me, can you tell me where I am?"

The man below says: "Yes, you're in a hot air balloon, hovering 30 feet above this field."

"You must work in Information Technology" says the balloonist.

"I do" replies the man. "How did you know?"

"Well" says the balloonist, "everything you have told me is technically correct, but it's of no use to anyone."

The man below says "You must work in business."
"I do" replies the balloonist, "but how did you know?"

"Well", says the man, "you don't know where you are, or where you're going, but you expect me to be able to help. You're in the same position you were before we met, but now it's my fault."

hockey hockey hockey

September 14th, 2005 (09:46 am)

i bought tickets to the home opener of the Ducks on October 10. i am so excited, first hockey game in more than 15 months. we will be sitting in the club section.

i'm also planning on going to a san jose shark game in december vs the hurricanes. I have a reception to go to in santa maria which is half way between my home and san jose. so why not just drive the 3 hours and go to san jose. i just wanted an excuse to go to a game. one thing i want to do is see a game in each nhl areana so this just helps me reach my goal. next is either vancouver or phoenix.

i have a reception that i am supposed to go to on december 17 and i will be killed if i dont go. well i just realized that i have 2 finals that day and one is til 2:30, the reception is at 2. school comes first.

watching the news last night it was really cool to see selanne passing to fedorov on the rush. awesome.

a cool cause and effect thing from the hockey news about the ducksCollapse )
